The History of Shinohara Textile.

1907
Origins
Founded in Fukuyama, the heart of Japanese textiles. Our journey began with Bingo Kasuri, mastering the intricate art of indigo dyeing and cotton weaving. This heritage is not just our past; it is the blueprint for our quality today.
1970s
Transition
As global lifestyles shifted, we made a decisive move from Kasuri to Denim. We didn’t just change machines; we evolved our DNA. By applying traditional craftsmanship to modern denim, we created a standard that mass production could never touch.

2000s
Global Expansion
We chose a different path. While others pursued speed, we slowed down. Our signature “Low Tension” weaving creates a texture that machines cannot replicate—imperfect, organic, and deeply human. We took this unique denim to the world stage.
Future
Responsibility
Tradition is not about preserving ashes, but keeping the flame alive. Through sustainable practices and recycled materials, we are weaving the future of denim—for our planet and for the next generation.
